AbstractAbstract
[en] With the purpose of create the bases for quality control and quality assurance of the acquisition and processing program of gated cardiac blood-pool (MUGA) studies, we used the VENSTRA cardiac function phantom in 7 cameras (4 SOPHA- DSX-1000, 2 GE- IMAGAMMA-2001 and 1 SIEMENS- HERMES) and made 3 acquisition for each Global Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction (LVEF 30%, 60% and 80%) and for each Heart Rate (HR 40, 80 and 160 heart beat/min). The planar resolution and the planar uniformity were proper in all the equipment. Differences less than 5% were found between the acquisition and processing program. To evaluate the processing program without the acquisition parameter's influence, we used one group of these image like software phantom and test the semi-automatic software in all cameras. The semi-automatic protocol showed difference less than 3% between software. The automatic processing software of gated cardiac studies were checked with the COST-B2 software phantom; the difference between the Left Ventricle Ejection Fraction calculated by these software was less than 5% and the regional wall motion analysis was complete coincident in the 93% of the cases. The use of VENSTRA and COST- B2 phantom confirm the correct functioning of the acquisition and the LVEF calculus software of MUGA studies in the 83% of cuban nuclear medicine centers
