AbstractAbstract
[en] The present work is directed to assess the possible use of liquid emulsion membrane (LEM) for the removal of uranium and cobalt from low and medium active waste solutions (MAWS). Two systems were used for the permeation investigation of the elements through LEM. The first is a LEM prepared based on the use of di-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid (DEHPA) as extractant for the removal of uranium (VI). The second is based on the use of bis (2,2,4 trimethylpentyl) dithiophosphinic acid (Cyanax-301) for the removal of cobalt (II). Factors affecting the stability of the prepared LEM and the permeation process were investigated. The effect of radiation on the permeation process was performed. (author)
