[en] In LHCb the data of a set of silicon strip detectors is used for vetoing multiple interactions at Level-0 and for selecting events with secondary vertices at Level-1, to obtain a large enriched sample of reconstructible B-events. Both systems are described and predictions are given for the performance in LHCb
