AbstractAbstract
[en] The 'nuclear toxicology' program of the French atomic energy commission (CEA) aims at adapting some specific proteins to the chelation function in order to trap the toxic heavy metals present in the environment. A process has been developed by the Department of proteins engineering and study of the Direction of life sciences (DSV) of CEA-Saclay which changes the natural calcium affinity of the calmodulin protein to an uranium affinity. Short paper. (J.S.)
