AbstractAbstract
[en] The effect of substitution of Fe for Co in the compounds La2(Co1-xFex)16Ti (x=0.0-0.5) on the crystal structure and magnetic properties has been investigated. The lattice parameters and the unit-cell volume of La2(Co1-xFex)16Ti increase with x in the range 0≤x≤0.44. The magnetic moment per formula unit in La2(Co1-xFex)16Ti increases linearly as the Fe concentration increases. The Curie temperature is found to increase for x≤0.1 and then decrease for x>0.1. The easy-magnetization direction changes from the easy-axis direction (0≤x≤0.3) to the easy-plane direction (x=0.4), and the anisotropy field HA decreases with the Fe substitution. Evidence for spin reorientation in the compounds La2(Co1-xFex)16Ti for 0.3≤x≤0.44 was observed in the M-T and χac-T curves. (author)
