[en] The objective of this study is to obtain verification data concerning performance of RC duct-type underground structures subject to strong earth quakes. This paper presents the investigated results of numerical simulation obtained from shaking table tests of box-type structure models with a scale of about 1/2. We proposed practical nonlinear member models, by which mechanical properties of RC member and soil are defined as hysteresis models (RC: axial force dependent degrading tri-linear model, soil: modified Ramberg-Osgood model), and joint elements are used to evaluate the interaction along the interface of two materials between soil and RC structures; including the slippage and separation. Consequently, the proposed models could simulate the test results on the deformation of soil and RC structure, as well as damage of RC structures which is important in verifying their seismic performance with practical accuracy.
