[en] PIME 2003 presented its new concept in Malta on February 2-5, 2003 to more than 150 participants from 27 countries. The focus had been intensified on workshops and round-table discussions as fora for exchanging information and opinions. The plenary sessions covered the topics, among others, of public acceptance, risk communication, information, requirements to be met in public relations work also above and beyond the nuclear framework. They were treated by representatives of various institutions. A key issue of PIME 2003 was the rank of nuclear power in international politics. (orig.)
