AbstractAbstract

[en] The BABAR electromagnetic calorimeter is composed of 6600 CsI(Tl) crystals organized in a cylindrical barrel and a conical forward endcap. During the past year, the assembly of the two parts has been completed. The mechanical and optical properties of the crystals are described, together with the readout and calibration systems and the progress in the construction of the system
