[en] In this paper, the effects of the presence of side mode on the behavior of a two-mode semiconductor laser are investigated using the numerical solution of the stochastic langevin rate equations. From the numerical results, we obtain various noise characteristics such as the intensity correlation functions, the relative intensity noise spectra for the main mode, side mode, and mode suppression ratio on the noise characteristics of laser is analyzed
