AbstractAbstract
[en] The aluminium specimens were irradiated with 245 MeV 84Kr ions to a fluence of 1014 ion/cm2 under various incidence angles (from 0 to 75 deg.) and with 124 MeV 129Xe ions up to a fluence of 1015 ion/cm2 normally to the sample surface The surface structure changes of as-irradiated with 84Kr ions and annealed at 250, 400 and 600 deg. C after 129 Xe irradiation Al samples were studied with a transmission and scanning electron microscope. It was found that the various changes of the Xe-implanted aluminium surface structure occur during annealing. No surface structure changes were observed after 250 deg. C annealing. The small pits appeared along the subgrain boundaries after 480 deg. C annealing and the microcracks, small pits, bubbles, blisters cleavages, porous structure and flakes after 600 deg. C annealing were observed. The aluminium surface cracks occur at ion incidence angle increase for 84Kr ion irradiation, i.e. with decreasing distances between the implanted krypton ion layer position and the sample surface. The temperature effect on the xenon mobility and bubble formation as well as on microcracking is discussed. (author)
