[en] Platinum deposition tests for the pre-filmed type 304 stainless steel were carried out using a small scale high-temperature water loop. When [Pt(NH3)4](OH)2 were used, deposited platinum was observed only on the surface of the outer surface of the corrosion film. The amount of deposition was strongly dependent on the treatment temperature, and the maximum amount of platinum deposition was observed at 150 C. In the case of Na2[Pt(OH)6], deposited platinum was distributed in both inner and outer layers of the corrosion film, and the platinum deposition amount at 100 C was larger than that at 150 C. It was found that the platinum deposition behavior was influenced by the kind of added reagents. The degree of ECP decrease effect was dependent on the amount of platinum deposition strongly. The ECP of stainless steel with the deposition above the definite amount was effectively. (authors)
