AbstractAbstract
[en] The greenhouse gases emissions from the use of fossil fuels are expected to increase by 70 % till 2030.The role of the renewable energy sources is still small and the nuclear energy is expected to decrease by 5 % till 2030. The main problems of the current energy model are described in the report. The reasons for the failing of the Kyoto Protocol and the followed political reactions, which had led to a new energy model, based on the latest developments of science and technology, are analyzed. In this respect the role of the nuclear energy is discussed as well as the possibility of its use as a base for development of hydrogen energy
