AbstractAbstract
[en] The nuclear calculation has been performed for the target system of an accelerator driven transmutation system HYPER. Thermal-hydraulic and stress calculation are essential for the design optimization of a target system, but nuclear calculations are usually used for showing nuclear characteristics of a target system except some special cases. This report summarizes the results of nuclear calculations such as neutron production, activation and radiation damage of a beam window which were obtained by using LAHET Code System and ORIGEN codes. Although Pb-Bi is the target material of HYPER, calculations for W and Pb are also included in the results since those materials were considered as candidate materials for HYPER target. The nuclear characteristics of current HYPER target design are also calculate. LCS does not include the effects of neutrons with energy less than 20MeV when neutron and activation production are calculated. Therefore, a updated transport code is needed for the accurate nuclear calculation for the target system. In case of ORIGEN, the nuclear data of some activation nuclei does not exist in the library. Therefore, the library of ORIGEN should be updated or a new incineration code is needed
