[en] The lectures about the latest research results of sandstone-type uranium deposits in Russia, including the in-situ leachable uranium deposit, prospecting, exploration and mining technology, were given at Beijing Research Institute of Uranium Geology by a Russian geologist A.B. Halezov from January 14 to 25, 2002. The Russian expert also delivered presentation on the geology, the distribution and technological features of paleo-channel type Dalmatov uranium deposit in detail. At last, uranium metallogenic prospects in Russia were evaluated. The geologic background, tectonic setting and uranium metallogenic conditions in northern China are similar to those of Russia. Therefore, the above knowledge introduced in the paper may be beneficial to Chinese geologists in future prognosis of and prospecting for sandstone-hosted uranium deposits
