AbstractAbstract
[en] In some of the factories waste exist many hard metals ion, such as Chromium, Lead, and Copper, etc., which create unsuitable effects for their entrance to waters and water tables. because they are poisonous. One of the methods suggested for the refinement of such factories waste is the use of ion exchange resins, which are imported and expansive. But a cheap and easy method can be used for the ions refinement, that is, the use of agricultural waste. A rice bran column (the same as chromatography through column) was provided and the dissolved ions of Cu2+, Cr2+ with the first concentration of 1250 ppm, 1700 ppm, and 3400 ppm were separately passed via the rice bran. P H for the mentioned ions were between 3-5 and their concentration after passing the column, was under 1 ppm which is considered as the permissible standard level for industrial waste. Also, the mixture of the above ions were passed through the column consisting of rice. It was observed that none of these ions create any problem for the absorption of other ions by the rice bran bed
