AbstractAbstract
[en] Based on the application of Material Fluxes Analysis, this paper presents the composition of the energetic basket in Valle de Aburra during 1999 and the atmospheric emissions caused by the consumption of those energetic materials. Basically, it was found that the daily energetic consumption of the system was 43,2 Tcal that generated 716 ton. by day of atmospheric contaminants as an output. The results show that the main energetic materials that participate in the global metabolism of the system, was those consumed in the transportation sector (gasoline and diesel). Therefore transportation sector contributes with the principal load of contaminants represented by carbon monoxide that overtake the 77,6% of the whole emissions
