AbstractAbstract
[en] The comparison between the results of theoretical and experimental investigations of positron-atom scattering provide valuable tests of both the quality of the applied models and wave functions used in the calculations as well as the accuracy of the measured data. The elastic and inelastic scattering of positron from He was considered at energies above the 21S first excitation threshold at 20.61 eV, i.e. above the Ore gap energy region using a complex optical potential model (COPM) and a classical trajectory Monte Carlo (CTMC) method based on the Garvey-type model potential. It was found that the computed cross section is sensitive to the wave function chosen for the approximate description of the ground state of He atom. (R.P.)
