AbstractAbstract
[en] The multi-step process to implementation of a waste management facility and its main components are presented. The role of decision makers and the main factors in achieving acceptance is discussed. Two examples: of a staged decision process in three variants (long term surface storage; 100 and 200 years retrievable underground and final closure) and of a staged R and D programme are given. The basic requirements for decision making process and waste management strategy implementation are also considered
