AbstractAbstract
[en] In this study, the development strategies of proliferation resistant nuclear fuel cycle technology and R and D plan of spent fuel management and high level waste disposal were proposed. Core technologies related to nuclear fuel cycle have to be developed through DUPIC program. With a long-term strategy, R and D associated with pyroprocessing has to be performed. This process will be linked to ADS(Accelerator Driven System) and liquid metal reactor in the future. Regardless a fuel cycle alternative is chosen in Korea in the future, the spent fuel and/or high level waste disposal are necessary. Therefore, R and D of spent fuel and high level waste disposal shall be strengthened. A study on nuclear fuel cycle system related to liquid metal reactor system has to be performed. This study will be useful for evaluating an optimum fuel cycle in Korea in the future. All efforts to promote national reliability and nuclear transparency has to be made in the future. The R and D strategies recommended in this study will be used as references for decision makers to select an option for the back-end of the nuclear fuel cycle in Korea
