[en] This study deals with radiological protection associated with ''153 Sm treatments, after one-year experience, regarding hospital and patient relatives as well as management of the radioactive waste generated by these treatment. The amount of administered activity may be similar to that in ''153 I treatments. However,''153Sm has smaller half life and committed effective dose per unit intake, than ''153 I and the safety of patients of hospital is also shorter. So, it is not necessary to increase the demands on radiological protection, or complicate the radioactive waste management, regarding to the established standards for ''153 I treatments. (Author)
