AbstractAbstract
[en] Powder neutron diffraction measurements have been performed on TbAg2Si2 at low temperatures. The compound crystallize in the tetragonal ThCr2Si2-type crystal structure (space group I4/mmm). Below TN=18 K TbAg2Si2 orders antiferromagnetically with a sine-wave modulated structure characterized by the propagation vector k=(1,0.3249(5),0). The Tb magnetic moments, equal 8.36(22) μB, are in the basal plane as expected from the positive sign of the B20 parameter of the crystal electric field Hamiltonian
