AbstractAbstract
[en] A theory of the ion channel produced by an ultrarelativistic electron beam propagating in a low-density magnetized plasma along the external magnetic field B0 is presented. The dependence of the channel width on B0 is found. It is shown that the longitudinal magnetic field inside the channel is always lower than the unperturbed external field. The plasma behavior outside the channel is analyzed, and the radial profiles of the plasma electron density and velocity are determined
