AbstractAbstract
[en] Rewetting velocities for a wire-wrapped fuel pin have been measured to evaluate the simplified spent fuel cooling design in a sodium-cooled FBR. Empirical correlations for the rewetting velocity are made by using the measured data. As a result, although some cases need more than 300sec to rewet the fuel pin, the fuel is cooled by the generated steam in the heated region. The Empirical correlation shows good agreement with measured local rewetting velocities within ± 20mm/s. (author)
