AbstractAbstract
[en] Countercurrent flow of subcooled water and steam with the direct steam condensation on the surface of the liquid film has been simulated. Two-fluid model has been used with several available empirical correlations for the direct steam condensation. These correlations are based on the power-law relation for non dimensional numbers. Obtained results have shown disagreement with empirical results. Therefore, a new correlation has been proposed, based on the convective turbulent heat transfer in the liquid film. It has shown good agreement with the measurements. (author)
