AbstractAbstract
[en] Natural uranium 2% enriched fuel element with aluminium cladding from the RA reactor was dissolved in the laboratory device specially adapted for this experiment. This report includes the description of the equipment, experiment and results. First step of the procedure, removal of the aluminium cladding was completed successfully, by dissolving in sodium hydroxide. Metal uranium was dissolved in nitric acid. These experiments have provided data about the stoichiometry and kinetics of the process
