AbstractAbstract
[en] To get a basis (technical, economic and commercial) for an investment decision on the construction of nuclear fuel fabrication plant a feasibility study was prepared. The scope of the study involves industrial manufacturing plant for: conversion of UF6 and UO2 powder production, pellet manufacturing and fuel rod fabrication and assembling as well as fuel design. The preliminary results of the study showed that construction of a plant with the capacity of 100 t U for PWR fuel (or an equivalent amount for other type of reactor) is feasible for local conditions. This fuel fabrication capacity can satisfy the annual needs of Yugoslav Nuclear Power Plant program (new 4000 MWe and Krsko) specified in the Invitation for bids. (author)
