AbstractAbstract
[en] A comparative analysis of the direct-low and the recirculative heat disposal from nuclear power plants in case of hydro-meteorological conditions in Macedonia has been performed. A relatively simple but accurate and original methodology has been developed. Processing of the meteorological parameters, which determines the effect of recirculative cooling, is based on the hourly measured dry-bulb and wet-bulb air temperatures. The many-years water temperature change of the cooling pond, whose waters are used for nuclear power plant cooling, has been determined regarding to the basic assignment of the hydro-accumulation production: production of electrical energy and irrigation, In this paper an original methodology has been developed. The results are relatively stable in regard to the uncertainty of the hydro-meteorological parameters. the effect of the recirculative and direct-flow cooling have been verified using the economical indicators in connection with the nuclear power plant power level decrease and the corresponding electrical energy production decrease. The detailed solution of a given example in case of al conditions provides a specific importance for the performed comparative analysis. (author)
