[en] Actual trends in computer technology have already become inseparable part of our every-day life. In spite of the fact that energetics is the basis of the overall economic growth, during the last decades there is parallelism in achievements in that area and information systems development. They have their significant own potential power in social growth especially in the energetic systems development. In this paper frame detailed review of the information system for coal quality surveillance is given. Information, i.e. input data in this information system can be used to record, analysis, activity planning, equipment and resources planning. The system is developed in Electric Power Company of Macedonia - Subsidiary REK Bitola, but it can be used in any other location. Regarding further development, the usage of GIS technology is foreseen. (Author)
