AbstractAbstract
[en] The crossed electron and atomic beams experiment are employed to study the relative optical excitation function for Sr resonance line 51P→51S (λ= 4607Ao) and Sr+ resonance line 52P1/2→52S 2 (λ, 4216 Ao) for electron energies rang from 8 eV to 200 eV. Polarization measurements for Sr line (λ= 4607Ao) are also measured for the same electron energy rage. Optical excitation function was investigated by measuring the de-excitation signal as a function of the incident electron energies. For the polarization measurement data were obtained by counting the photomultiplier signals parallel and perpendicular to the electron beam direction as a function of the incident electron energies. In this work, optical excitation functions was found to have a peak values at ∼13 eV, and ∼ 29 eV for Sr (λ= 4607Ao) and Sr+ lines (λ 4216 Ao), respectively. The polarization measurements for Sr (λ 4607 Ao) showed a maximum value of 25.34 % at electron energy 8 eV and a linear fall off towards negative values as the electron energy increases. The present obtained data of the optical excitation function and polarization values were compared with the previous measurements
