AbstractAbstract
[en] Objective: To investigate the clinical significance of changes of serum IGF-II, HA and P III P levels in patients with hepatic cirrhosis. Methods: Serum IGF-II, HA and P III P levels were measured with RIA in 65 patients with hepatic cirrhosis and 30 controls. Results: Serum IGF-II levels were significantly higher than those in controls (P<0.01), and were significantly positively correlated to the serum levels of HA, P III P. Conclusion: Determination of serum IGF-II levels in patients with hepatic cirrhosis is of help for assessment of the severity of diseases as well as outcome prediction. (authors)
