AbstractAbstract
[en] Construction of a temporal levee of Shimane Nuclear Power Plant 3 had been planned in order to take measures for wave overtopping in winter. The revetment work was studied by numerical analysis and hydraulic model test. The summary of revetment work, design conditions, research methods, numerical analysis, and hydraulic model test of Shimane Nuclear Power Plant 3 was reported. The results were compared and discussed. Various dimensions such as levee height of T.P.+10.0 m and rake of temporal levee of 1:2.0, and length of 25 m and height of T.P.+1.0 m of apron were determined. The temporal levee was constructed on the basis of the results in 2007. The waves which have the effective wave height of 5.3 m did not overtop the temporal levee and yard in winter, 2007. (S.Y.)
