AbstractAbstract

[en] The change of d-electron occupancy in V_xNi_100-x and Fe_xNi_100-x alloys are measured using electron energy loss spectrum (EELS) in this paper. Our results differ dramatically from the reported change of d-electron occupancy in the same alloys measured by kβ-to-kα X-ray intensity ratios. This discrepancy is discussed and attributed to the errors caused by data processing and theoretical difficulty of both methods
