AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper we investigate the use of lines from tungsten (W) ions to measure the properties of W impurities in ITER plasmas. We calculate the intensities of the brightest spectral lines expected to be radiated by W ions with wavelengths longer than 45 A, abundance of 10-4 and at densities of 1020 m3. Using the calculated wavelengths and intensities we propose a concept for segmented multilayer-coated imaging telescopes that could be used to investigate the properties of W impurities as a function of time and space using spectral lines from highly ionized W
