AbstractAbstract
[en] Zirconium based intermetallics (Zr2M, M=Fe, Co, Ni and Rh) with CuAl2-type structure (SG: 14/mcm) consist of chains of M atoms connecting the Zr-only a-b planes. Such M-atom chains along c-axis could cause incipient lattice instability in these systems. Among these, Zr2Rh is of particular interest, as it can absorb large amount of Hydrogen (Zr2RhHx, x = 0 to 4.25) at room temperature and 1 bar pressure, without any change in crystal structure
