AbstractAbstract
[en] Associated with reactor pulses is the influence the experiment has on the pulse calibration. Large experiments (-$4.10) can offset an apparent calibration by as much as - 30 cents out of a possible $4.50 pulse capability. This 30 cents loss is particularly significant when attempting to predict lower level pulses which can result in understanding pulse fluence, possible destruction of costly experiments, and increase the potential for release of radioactive materials. An analytical solution for estimating the true reactivity worth and resultant pulse yield for different experiment worths is presented. (author)
