[en] The operator (Areva NC) of the La Hague reprocessing plant publishes annual environmental monitoring reports. Those reports firstly provide annual reporting of all the environmental controls and monitoring results and, secondly, present doses received by various groups of the neighbouring population from industrial activity during the elapsed year. French authorities request a pluralistic expert assessment group, the Nord Cotentin Radioecology Group (GRNC), to give an advice on the dose estimates made by the operator. The detail of each GRNC's analysis has to be presented to the La Hague local information commission (CSPI). (author)
