[en] With the use of atomic-emission multichannel spectrometry method the formation of erosion plasma upon the effect of high-power double laser pulses on the surface of the brass alloys (BA) is experimentally studied. It is demonstrated that parameters of the plasmochemical process and surface erosion of LS may be controlled by changes in the power density of incident laser radiation and in the delay time of the second double laser pulse arrival. It is established that the interactions between the radiation and alloy surface are greatly dependent on the method used to change the incident power density of a single pulse. When the power density of incident radiation) is changed by variations in the pumping energy (radiant energy 20-80 mJ), the rate of lead evaporation is progressively increased. And with a change in the focal spot one can observe the periodicity that is dependent on the energy of incident radiation. In the mode of double laser pulses (with a delay between the pulses ranging from 0 to 100 μs) a character of the plasma and surface formation becomes still more complex. The findings are substantiated, and possible causes responsible for such a formation character are given. (authors)
