AbstractAbstract
[en] The specification of the d-D neutron source with a titanium deuteride target of the FNS facility was investigated in order to utilize the d-D neutron source for fusion neutronics researches. The characteristics of neutron produced by the d-D reaction were described based on the reaction kinematics, and the target assembly of the accelerator was modeled for the MCNP calculation in detail. In order to validate this calculation, the angular distribution of the neutron was measured with the activation foil method. The measured reaction rates were well predicted by the MCNP calculation, and the validity of the present calculation was confirmed. A MCNP source term for analyses calculations of experiments with DD neutrons was prepared from the results of the above calculation. (author)
