[en] The present thesis deals with the optimization of HTS band conductors of the 2nd generation. Thereby on the one hand the charging behaviour of the superconducting layers should be improved in a continuous process. On the other hand the electrical stabilization of coated conductors for the application in superconducting current limiters was studied. It was shown that for both question formulations the configuration of the band concerning the epitactical metal layer plays a deciding role, so that the two first independent seeming problems can be viewed in a common context.
