AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper, Al doped cathode materials with the formula LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3-xAlxO2 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.08) have been prepared successfully from sol-gel precursors by using electrospun method. The morphological features of the nanofibers were characterized by atomic force microscopy (AFM). The average diameter of the uniform LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3-xAlxO2 nanofibers was less than 100 nm. The effect of Al substitution on the crystal structure and electrochemical properties of LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 were studied systematically by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and various electrochemical measurements. The results showed Al substitution played an important role in the superior reversible capacity and good cycling performance of LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2. The LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3-0.06Al0.06O2 nanofibers showed a first discharge capacity of 186.59 mAh g-1 with the capacity retention of 96.1% after 30 cycles.
