AbstractAbstract
[en] We studied the effect of the gluon number fluctuations (Pomeron loops) on the diffractive deep inelastic scattering in the fixed coupling case. We used a parameter-free method to describe the experimental data and found that the description of the diffractive structure function is improved with χ2 /d.o.f. = 1.031 once the fluctuations in the gluon number are included. This improvement indicates that the gluon number fluctuations would be relevant in the HERA data. (orig.)
