[en] An evidence for a narrow nucleon resonance with the mass of M ∼ 1.685 GeV in the Compton scattering on the neutron is presented. The resonance possesses unusual properties: the narrow width Γ ≤ 30 MeV, and the much stronger photocoupling to the neutron than to the proton. We also added some remarks and simple estimates on putative narrow nucleon N*(1685) in the η photoproduction on the nucleon. (author)
