AbstractAbstract
[en] Full text of publication follows: After successful achieving the first plasma, Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR) is now preparing second operation which includes enhanced operation of power supply and diagnostic system. During the first operation campaign the Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS) which was adopted as a control middle-ware for KSTAR plant control system showed stable and reliable results and did not reveal any significant system related failure. The EPICS based plant control system can covered the following control areas such as data acquisition, data archiving and data visualization interfaced with Central Control System (CCS). Basically a plant control system requires an EPICS Input Output Controller (IOC) and its own DAQ (Data Acquisition) system. During the first operation the EPICS based control system mainly used in a slow DAQ part which has processed less than 10 Hz, and its platform were Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and PCI extensions for Instrumentation (PXI). In this paper we will describe following items such as the details of control function and implementation of each plant control system and final operation results and analysis, especially focused on following systems such as Tokamak Monitoring System (TMS), Vacuum Monitoring System (VMS), Current Lead System (CLS), Helium Distribution System (HDS), and Heating Systems.
