AbstractAbstract
[en] The author details the ultrasonic examination of austenitic stainless steel welds present in the primary circuit of the Loviisa I nuclear plant (a 440 MW PWR). He describes the primary circuit, the materials used with their chemical composition, the different weld geometries. He reports the choice of examination technique and equipment for the different zones to be examined (angle beam transducers, straight beam transducers, calibration, DAC curves). He comments some practical aspects like the quality of contact, personnel training, preparation of examination procedures
