[en] Full text: The purpose of this work is the evaluation and comparison of the dose rate distributions around a 252Cf Applicator Tube (AT) and 192Ir LDR sources. The dosimetric parameters were determined for both sources according to the updated AAPM TG-43U1 protocol. The calculations were performed using the Monte Carlo N-particle MCNP code, version 5C. To validate the results of this study, they were compared to experimental and analytical dosimetric data available in the literature for similar source configurations. After validation, the Monte Carlo computer code was applied to investigate the difference between dose rate distributions around the two brachytherapy sources, with the purpose of comparing their efficiency in treatment. The data so obtained also provide further information about spatial dose distributions and are important for detailed treatment planning with 252 Cf or 192Ir LDR sources for interstitial and intracavitary therapy

Texte integral: Le but de ce travail est l evaluation et la comparaison des distributions de debit de dose autour d un tube de l applicateur 252Cf (AT) et des sources de LDR 192Ir. Les parametres dosimetriques etaient determines pour les deux sources selon le protocole mis a jour d AAPM TG-43U1. Les calculs ont ete executes utilisant le code de la N-particule MCNP de Monte Carlo, la version 5C. Pour valider les resultats de cette etude, ils ont ete compares aux donnees dosimetriques experimentales et analytiques disponibles dans la litterature pour les configurations semblables de source. Apres validation, le code informatique de Monte Carlo a ete applique pour etudier la difference entre les distributions de debit de dose autour des deux sources brachytherapy, en vue de comparer leur efficacite dans le traitement. Les donnees ainsi obtenu egalement fournissent les informations supplementaires au sujet des distributions spatiales de dose et sont importantes pour la planification de traitement detaillee avec 252 sources de Cf ou de LDR 192Ir pour la therapie interstitielle et intracavitaryOriginal Title
