[en] To cope with the global competition, this paper proposes an emergent cooperative approach for securing safety with cost down in plant maintenance. By sharing and integrating knowledge among companies as to the troubles and injuries of plant facilities, the reliable evaluation and prediction of deterioration of plants is possible. This facilitates to provide agile solution for maintenance through the integration and formulation of knowledge base by acquiring knowledge from various engineering documents such as drawings, specifications, etc. (author)
