AbstractAbstract
[en] Fuel manufactured at JSC NCCP is in operation at 24 units of VVER-1000 10 NPPs in Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, China and Iran. 2863 FAs manufactured at JSC NCCP were in operation for the last fuel cycle 2009-2010, among them 2372 FAs (81% of the total number of operated FAs) of a new generation with improved technical-economic characteristics: TVSA, TVS-2, TVS-2M. In this paper dynamics of fabrication and putting into operation of new generation of fuel manufactured at JSC NCCP for 2003 - 2010; distribution of FAs in operation during fuel cycles 2009 - 2010 in Ukraine, Bulgaria, China and Russia as well as distribution of average and maximum fuel burnup in TVSA-2, TVSA-2M and TVSA for fuel cycles 2009 - 2010 are presented. Dynamics of VVER-1000 FAs leaking rate; specific average activity by total Iodine isotopes; distribution of leaking VVER-1000 FAs by the causes of discharge from the reactor core during 2003 - 2010 are also discussed. The operation results of new generation VVER-1000 FAs: TVSA, TVS-2 and TVS-2M manufactured at JSC NCCP which are in operation in Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria and China confirm the design characteristics of the fuel, i.e. average fuel burnup up to 55 MW·day/kgU in FAs after 4 FCs and operation safe and reliable, with low leaking rate for 4 FCs
