[en] Suomen Malmi Oy (Smoy) core drilled two 12.60 m and 40.10 m long drillholes at Eurajoki Olkiluoto in October - November 2008. The identification numbers of the holes are ONK-PP130 and ONK-PVA5. The drillholes are 75.7 mm by diameter. The drilling rig used was hydraulic APC U6 for both holes. The drilling water was taken from the ONKALO drilling water pipeline and premixed sodium fluorescein was used as a label agent in the drilling water. The deviation of the drillhole ONK-PVA5 was measured with the deviation measuring instrument EMS. In addition to drilling the drillcores were logged and reported by geologist. During geological investigation following parameters were logged: lithology, foliation, fracture parameters, fractured zones, core loss, weathering, fracture frequency, RQD and rock quality. The main rock types in the drillholes are diatexitic and veined gneiss. The average fracture frequency in drill core ONK-PP130 was 0.7 pcs / m and the average RQD value 99.6 %. In drill core ONK-PVA5 fracture frequency was 1.7 pcs / m and average RQD 97.2 %. (orig.)
