AbstractAbstract
[en] Research of digestion kinetic of neodymium in monazite sand with sulfuric acid in the agitated tank have been investigated. The grain size of monazite sand of 100-200 mesh and sulfuric acid of 95% were put into the tank provided by stirrer and heater. Every period of time sample was taken and then concentration of neodymium was analyzed by x ray fluorescence. From the experimental data at the various of digestion time, so the conversion (x) can be found. The results obtained at this condition shows that order of reaction was first order, conversion (x) versus time (t) correlation equation is x =1 - 0.6015 e0.48061. From the experimental result, the value of k as the overall velocity constant versus the temperature follow the Arrhenius equation, k = 3575.6419 e-4436.5/T.The value of frequency factor, A = 2.797x10-4 and activation energy, E = 1288.3099 kcal/g mol.
