AbstractAbstract
[en] The optimization of peat soil reaction with sodium base on the batch system has been done. For that purpose, the study is to isolation of humic substances in peat soil. The isolation of humic substances was carried out by malting the peat soil with sodium base on batch system. The optimization of investigation was conducted by varying the concentration, reaction time, reactor volume, concentration of sodium base and type of reactant. From 0.01 grams feed of Kalimantan peat soil and the grain size 400 mesh that was reacted with NaOH, resulted that reaction time 24 jam and reactor volume 2000ml and concentration NaOH 0.1 M obviously the highest conversion (X). Compare to other reactant such as Na2CO3 or KOH, reacted NaOH reactant apparently resulted that highest conversion value (X) is 0.956 ± 0.02. (author)
